This work was commissioned for the 2015 Eureka exhibition at the New Children's Museum in San Diego, California. Participants can enter the car and switch through several karaoke channel on the "radio” as they dance, play and sing along using the two microphones provided. The name "Umwëlt" refers to a theory about how organisms perceive surroundings or environment through a particular subjective self centered lens. So the Auto Umwelt installation asked the viewer to consider the implications of many years of experiencing California through the windshield of a car. This exhibition ran for 18 months from 2015-2017.
